Since we opened our doors to serve our students, parents and community members in September 1976, we have strived to become the premier middle school in Miami-Dade County. To this end, Howard D. McMillan Middle has continuously employed innovative educational programs and technologies. The Exceptional Education Inclusion Program was initiated at our school and was subsequently adopted by the District as the standard for Exceptional Student Education. The use of interactive electronic classrooms is now standard in 80% of our classrooms, and we also piloted the internet-based electronic Gradebook, which later became the norm for the District.

SMILE!!! It's Time for Fall Picture Day!
Next Tuesday, October 18 2016, our school will host the 2016-17 Fall Picture Day. On this day all students will be photographed for the year book. This is an opportunity to purchase photos of your child. Photo flyers were distributed to students this week. If you are paying by check, please make it out to Fox-Mar and make sure check includes: Student’s name and Parent’s phone number. You may also pay online at foxmar.com/prepay. This is an important fundraiser for our school; please help support your child’s school by purchasing a photo package.
